BBQ-style baked potato

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 large potatoes (approx. 300g each)
  • 5 tbsp rapeseed oil or sunflower oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp spice mix, heaped BBQ-
  • 1 tsp smoked salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

crispy potato slices

Wash the potatoes thoroughly, brush off the skin if necessary, and cut them into approximately 1cm-thick slices. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Mix the oil, garlic, salt, and seasoning mix well and brush the potato slices on both sides. Place the potato slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the oven for 30-35 minutes, turning them halfway through. The slices are also great for grilling if there’s enough space on the grill. A great side dish for grilled or pan-fried meat, but also delicious on their own with a sour cream dip or BBQ sauce.
