Bean and potato casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g jacket potatoes, from the previous day
  • 500 g green beans (cleaned)
  • 1 can/n tomato(s) (Pizza tomatoes)
  • 1 jar mushrooms
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g flour
  • Garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, wash the beans, cut them into pieces, and cook them with salt, pepper, and savory, if desired, until soft. In the meantime, season the minced meat and fry it with the onion and garlic until crumbly. Once everything is nicely browned, add the tomatoes, mushrooms, and finally the drained beans. Let them simmer for a while, then season with salt and pepper. Don’t throw away the bean water! Now make the béchamel sauce from butter, flour, milk, and the bean water. Then layer everything in a greased baking dish: 1st layer of potatoes 2nd layer of bean and minced meat mixture 3rd layer of potatoes Pour the béchamel sauce over the top and sprinkle with cheese, if desired, and bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.
