Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g minced turkey
  • 1 pack of frozen spinach, coarsely chopped
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 stale bread roll, soaked in milk
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan or other grated cheese
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ liter chicken broth
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 200 g cheese, preferably strong tasting, grated or finely sliced
  • Parsley
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

with cheese sauce

Thaw the spinach and squeeze dryness in a cloth. Make a meat dough from the meat and the other ingredients and mix it with the spinach. Form 12 equal-sized dumplings and place them in a shallow baking dish. Bake at 220 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. For the cheese sauce: Heat the olive oil and sauté the flour. Deglaze with the broth and milk, then add the grated cheese. Season with nutmeg. Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour the cheese sauce over them. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve with Italian pasta or fine mashed potatoes and a tomato and mushroom salad.
