Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 cans of beans (wax snap beans), 225 g drained weight
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 hours; Total time approx. 10 hours 10 minutes

Drain the beans. Bring about 1.5 liters of water with a little salt to a boil. When it boils, add the beans and bring back to a boil, then drain. Finely dice the onion. Make a salad dressing with the oil, vinegar, water, and sugar. Add the onions, stir to combine, and season generously with salt and pepper. Add the hot beans to the dressing, mix, and refrigerate for about 12 hours, stirring occasionally.
