Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 125 g ham, raw, diced
- 100 ml red wine, dry
- ½ tsp vegetable broth, instant
- 1 tsp, heaped tomato paste
- salt and pepper

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Spanish-inspired bean side dish
Brown the ham cubes in a pan until lightly browned. Then add the finely diced onion and garlic and fry. When the onion pieces begin to turn translucent, add the beans and tomato paste and fry briefly. Deglaze everything with the red wine, add the instant vegetable stock, and reduce until the red wine sauce thickens. Simmer for about another 20 minutes. Can be prepared in advance and reheated for dinner. Perfect for a Spanish evening with lots of other tapas.
