Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small can of beans (baked beans)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 slices of toast
  • butter
  • pepper
  • some Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beans on toast

Toast 4 slices of toast. Meanwhile, gently warm the baked beans and fry the 2 eggs or prepare them as poached eggs. Place two slices of toast on each warmed plate. Spread thickly with butter. Place half of the baked beans on each slice of toast. Crack the egg on top, season with pepper, and add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce. Serve the remaining 4 slices of toast separately. Enjoyed in England with tea.
