Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 60 g butter
- 80 g oats
- 2 m.-sized eggs
- some nutmeg
- herbal salt
- Herbs, fresh to taste

Melt the butter in a small saucepan, remove the pan from the heat, let it cool slightly, then stir in the spices, finely chopped herbs, and eggs. Finely grind the oats and stir in the oat flour. Return the pan to the heat and stir the initially quite thin porridge until slightly warm. The porridge will thicken. Allow to cool completely and rest for about half an hour, during which time the grains will swell and the mixture will become firmer. Form nut-sized dumplings and let them simmer in broth until cooked. Oat dumplings are also popular and well-tolerated by children under 1 year old.
