Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 150 g sugar
  • 220 g poppy seeds
  • 60 g flour
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 6 cl rum
  • powdered sugar

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Beat half of the sugar with the 6 egg yolks and the rum until fluffy. Add the butter. Combine the poppy seeds, flour, and breadcrumbs and fold in. Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form and fold in. Grease a Bundt pan and dust with a little flour. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 45 minutes. Remove from the pan and let cool. Then dust with powdered sugar.
