Beef fillet wrapped in bacon

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) of Argentinian beef fillet(s) from the middle piece
  • 100 g bacon strips
  • Peppercorns, colorful
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of garlic powder
  • some vegetable oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Wash the beef fillet pieces and pat dry. Wrap the bacon strips around the beef fillet pieces and secure with toothpicks. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F). Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and sear the meat for 2-4 minutes, depending on its thickness. Wrap the fillet pieces in aluminum foil and place in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, toast the peppercorns in a pan and crush them in a mortar. Mix the crushed peppercorns with salt and garlic powder on a plate. Then remove the fillet pieces from the aluminum foil and place them on both sides in the plate with the spices to season both sides.
