Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 400 g tartare, or ground beef steak
- 25 capers
- 3 small gherkins
- 1 small onion(s)
- 1 tbsp mustard, hot
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- 1 pinch of pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
spicy spread
Chop all ingredients very finely and mix with the ground beef until creamy. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and sugar and serve immediately. Don’t let it stand for too long, or it will take on an unsightly color. The tartar tastes delicious on fresh black bread with butter. Tip: If you like it spicy, you can use 1-2 fresh, deseeded Thai chilies instead of pepper.
