Beer-mustard barbecue marinade

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 330 ml beer, your favorite brand
  • 1 large onion(s), finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp mustard, hot
  • 1 bunch thyme, fresh, or 4 tbsp dried
  • 2 tbsp oil, neutral
  • Pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

particularly suitable for pork

Heat oil in a pan and lightly fry the onion and garlic. Stir in the mustard and deglaze with 100 ml of beer. Remove from heat, add thyme, season with pepper, and let cool. Then add the remaining beer and pour the marinade over the meat. Let it marinate for a few hours, depending on the size of the meat; for large pieces, up to 2 days. If you like it spicy, add a chili pepper to the marinade.
