Beetroot cooked in a pressure cooker

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large beetroot bulbs
  • 1 cup water
  • some salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

simple and fast

Peel the beetroot and place it in the pressure cooker’s perforated attachment. Pour the water into the bottom of the pot. If desired, add a little salt to the beetroot. Close the pressure cooker and let it steam. After steaming, cook for 20 minutes on level 2-3, making the most of the remaining heat. Cooked beetroot makes great salads or can be used as a side dish for fish dishes. If you like, you can also reuse the cooking juices.
