Belgian yeast waffles

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 125 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs, including the yolk
  • ½ bag(s) of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 150 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 65 g butter / margarine, very soft
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 eggs, of which the egg white
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine all ingredients except the egg whites and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar to form a smooth batter. Cover and let rise for about 45 minutes. Beat the egg whites and vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form and carefully fold into the batter. Bake in a Belgian waffle iron and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
