Bell Pepper and Bacon Vegetables

Ingredients
 

  • 200 g Fresh onions
  • 750 g Green pepper
  • 3 Garlic cloves chopped
  • 50 g Fatty bacon or
  • 100 g Streaky bacon
  • 250 g Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 0,5 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp Sweet paprika
  • 0,125 L Vegetable broth

Instructions
 

  • Wash, quarter and core the peppers, remove the partitions and cut into strips.
  • Peel and halve the onions and cut into half rings. Remove the garlic from the outer skin and cut into small cubes. Finely dice the bacon as well.
  • In a saucepan, fry the oil with the bacon cubes over medium heat until the bacon is crispy.
  • Now add the onions and Knofi and let them take color. Briefly sweat the paprika powder and thyme and bring to the boil with the broth.
  • Add the pepper strips, stir, put the lid on and cook over low heat.
  • The tomatoes can, but do not have to be peeled, quartered and added to the vegetables. Mix well again. Bring to the boil briefly and season well.
  • Ready !!!! Quickly on the warm plate and either a piece of meat or just baguette, rice, butter noodles or mashed potatoes with it.
