Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 125 g sugar
- 125 g butter
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 250 g sweet cream
- 250 g flour
- 1 lemon(s), grated peel

for approx. 10 waffles
Combine the sugar, butter, a pinch of salt, lemon zest, and vanilla sugar with the 4 egg yolks and beat until fluffy. Gradually stir in the flour and the cream. Finally, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Let the batter rest for half an hour, then bake the waffles. Serve with sour cherries (thickened with vanilla pudding), whipped cream, ice cream, or various jams.
