Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 4 slice(s) Leberkäse, not too thick
  • 4 slices of cheese (e.g. Swiss or Edam)
  • Tomato peppers, cut into strips from the jar
  • 2 gherkins
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

For each roll, place two slices of bacon side by side, then top with the Leberkäse (liver sausage) and cheese. Place some tomato, pepper, and cucumber strips on one end and roll up. Secure with toothpicks, roulade pins, or kitchen twine. Lightly brush with oil. Grill for about 8-10 minutes (not too close to the grill), turning once. Serve with salad, baguette, or toast.
