Grilled potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • oil
  • Salt
  • clove(s) garlic
  • Thyme (fresh)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Boil the potatoes (either peel them yourself or buy them) until soft. Spread out a large piece of aluminum foil and place the cooked potatoes on it. Pour oil over the potatoes, making sure all of them are lightly coated. Sprinkle salt generously over the potatoes, crush garlic cloves if desired, and scatter them over the potatoes. Add the thyme leaves. Fold the aluminum foil over to enclose the potatoes. Turn and rotate the package slightly to distribute the oil. Place the package in the embers and let it sit for about 20 minutes, depending on the intensity of the embers, until the potatoes are crispy.
