Bifteki bacon balls from the smoker

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g minced meat, mixed
  • 3 tbsp, heaped gyro seasoning
  • 14 cubes of feta cheese with herbs, approx.
  • 14 slices of bacon (breakfast bacon)

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Knead the ground meat with the spice mixture. Form each 100g of ground meat into a small flatbread and place three feta cubes in the center, seal, and shape into a ball. Wrap two slices of bacon around each meatball (crosswise). Heat the smoker with cherry wood. Place the meatballs on the smoker and smoke them at about 180°C. Remove from the smoker after about 45 minutes – done. Enjoy grilling/smoking.
