Black bread – cherry cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 slices of bread (brown bread)
  • 100 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 200 g quark (low-fat)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tsp sweetener (fine sweetness, liquid)
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 jar morello cherries
  • Fat for the mold
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Finely crumble the brown bread and mix with the flour and baking powder. Add the quark, eggs, sweetener, and milk and mix well. Drain the morello cherries thoroughly in a sieve. Grease a springform pan, pour in the batter, and scatter the morello cherries on top. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 35-45 minutes. Let cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar, if desired. Tip: Other canned fruits, such as apricots or peaches, also taste great instead of the morello cherries.
