Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g currants, black, also possible frozen
  • 500 g gelling sugar 1:1
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ g vanilla powder
  • 1 shot of rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Clean the berries and remove them from the vines. Thaw the frozen jam slightly. In a tall saucepan, bring the berries to a boil with sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, add a dash of rum if desired, and immediately pour the jam into hot, rinsed, screw-top jars.
