Blood orange marmalade

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 10 oranges (blood oranges)
  • 5 orange(s) – peel of blood oranges, thinly peeled
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 2 tbsp Cointreau, or as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Finely grate the zest of 5 blood oranges. Carefully peel and finely chop all the oranges. Place everything in a sufficiently large pot and blend thoroughly with a hand blender. Then add the gelling sugar and boil according to the instructions (at least 3 minutes at a rolling boil). Then pour into clean twist-off jars. If you like, you can add a little Cointreau and seal the jars! It doesn’t taste bitter at all and has a rich flavor.
