Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 rolls, stale
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 packet of baking powder
- marjoram
- 200 ml water
- 150 ml milk
- 500 g flour
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cut the rolls into cubes and mix all the ingredients together. Gradually add the flour until you have a smooth dough that no longer sticks to the bowl. Form the dough into two long logs. Place them in boiling salted water and cook with the lid closed for about 15 minutes. Then turn the dumplings over and cook for another 15 minutes. Before serving, slice the dumplings using a string.
