Bolognese puff pastry squares

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 rolls of topping dough from the refrigerated section
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 2 m.-large onion(s), red
  • 200 ml tomatoes, pureed
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Brown the ground beef in a little oil. Slice the red onion into rings and add it to the ground beef, mixing in. Fry the onions for about 5 minutes. Then stir in the passata. Season with salt and pepper. Spread the prepared puff pastry (well chilled from the refrigerator) on a baking sheet. Spread the Bolognese evenly on top. Then cover with the second puff pastry. Prick the top a few times with the tip of a knife. Place in the oven on the middle rack at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 25 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy hot or cold.
