Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 onions
  • oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 125 ml water
  • 1 tsp broth
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Slice the onions into rings. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onions in the pan until they are soft and translucent, but don’t overcook them, or the flavor will evaporate. Add the honey and stir well. Combine the water with the broth. It’s better to use too little water than too much, depending on the onions. Add the broth. Bring to a boil briefly until it’s no longer too runny. Season with salt and pepper.
