Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 sausages, coarse
- 2 tbsp clarified butter
- 2 m.-sized onion(s)
- 200 ml beer (Franconian country beer)
- salt and pepper
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 1 piece(s) butter (frozen)
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Lightly score the sausages on both sides to prevent them from bursting during frying. Peel the onions, halve them, and cut them into thin half rings. Heat the clarified butter in a pan and slowly fry the sausages on both sides over medium heat. Only fry each side once. After turning, add the sliced onions to the pan and fry them slowly until translucent. When the sausages are cooked, remove them from the pan and set aside. Deglaze the onions with the beer and season the sauce with salt, pepper, and a small pinch of sugar. Stir in the chopped rosemary, bring the sauce to a boil briefly, and then drizzle with the frozen butter. Arrange the sausages on the plate and serve. Boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes go very well with this dish.
