Ingredients for 20 servings:
- 600 g flour (wheat flour type 405)
- 400 g flour (rye flour)
- 2 packets of yeast (dry yeast)
- 1 tbsp caraway seeds
- 1 tbsp, leveled salt
- 2 handfuls of sunflower seeds
- ½ liter of water
- 1 egg(s), including the yolk
- Sunflower seeds
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Knead the flour, yeast, spices, seeds, and water vigorously. Let it rise for 1 hour. Shape into a loaf, brush with egg yolk, and sprinkle with sunflower seeds. Bake at 250°C for 30 minutes and then at 180°C for 30 minutes.
