Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 5 rolls, old
- 2 onions
- ½ bunch parsley
- 3 eggs, including the yolk
- 500 ml milk
- 50 g bacon (breakfast bacon)
- 50 g butter
- 2 eggs, of which the egg white
- 1 tbsp flour
- salt and pepper
- breadcrumbs
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cut the rolls into small cubes. Pour hot milk over them and let them soak for 20 minutes. Finely dice the bacon and onions. Brown them in butter. Add the egg yolks, bacon and onion mixture, and flour to the roll mixture and mix well. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Season. Grease a round cake pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour in the mixture. Place in a bain-marie, ensuring the pan is three-quarters submerged in water. Bake in the oven at approximately 175°C for approximately 30 minutes.
