Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 5 rolls, stale, cut into cubes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 handful of fried onions
  • 250 ml milk, lukewarm
  • marjoram
  • 1 shot of oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Pour the milk over the rolls and let them sit for a few minutes. Add the eggs, fried onions, and a little oil, and season with marjoram, salt, and pepper. Knead everything by hand and form dumplings. Place the dumplings in cold, lightly salted water, bring the water to a boil, and let the dumplings sit in the gently simmering water for about 20 minutes until tender.
