Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 small onion(s)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 500 g tomato puree
- 2 chili peppers, fresh red
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Peel the onion and garlic, chop very finely with the chili, and sauté everything in olive oil over a low heat. Add the honey and sauté until completely liquid. Sprinkle the curry powder over the sauce and mix well. Add the tomato puree, season with salt, and lemon juice. Cover, bring to a boil, and simmer over a low heat for about 10 minutes. If you pour the sauce into clean twist-off jars while it’s still hot (closing the lids immediately), the sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for about 6 weeks. Tomato puree does NOT refer to tomato paste, but to that thick, runny stuff in a tetra pack!
