Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 beef steaks (rump, fillet or rump steak)
- 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 150 g Gorgonzola, cut into cubes
- 1 pack of cream cheese (paprika pepper spread)
- 125 g butter
- 1 cup of cream or 200 ml milk
- Pinch(s) of salt and pepper
- Pinch(s) of chives, in rolls
- olive oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Fry the 4 steaks in hot olive oil on each side until cooked to your liking (rare, medium, or well done). Wrap in aluminum foil and keep warm in an oven at 60°C. In the same pan, melt the butter, add the Gorgonzola, and melt, stirring constantly. Once the cheese has melted, add the garlic and cream or milk. Add the cream cheese and heat gently, stirring until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Add the steaks to the sauce along with any meat juices, let it simmer for 3 minutes, then serve immediately, sprinkled with chives. I recommend serving with a baguette and a fresh salad.
