Broad Beans in Creamy Bacon Sauce
The perfect broad beans in creamy bacon sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Glass Broad beans
- 20 g Butter
- 4 Discs Diced bacon
- 1 size Chopped onion
- 1 kl. Stock cube
- 200 ml Cream
- 200 ml Savory
- 2 tablespoon Sauce binder light
- 2 tablespoon Pepper and salt
- Yes, this is home cooking in perfection – which has even found its way into several country inn and restaurant kitchens because the dish is generally very popular and easy and quick to prepare.
- Wash the savory, pat dry, strip the leaves off the branches, then chop finely and mix immediately with the cream. Heat the butter in a saucepan and then fry the diced bacon and onion in it until translucent. Pour in the beans from the glass with the liquid, pour in the cream with the savory, stir in the stock cube. Put a lid on and cook gently over a mild heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Stir in the sauce thickener, bring to the boil briefly, season with salt and pepper and serve with potatoes.
- All conceivable types of sausage, smoked meats such as Kasseler, Schäufele or, as we do today, Balkan rolls go with it. Good Appetite!
