Broccoli and ham rice

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g basmati
  • 750 g broccoli
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ⅛ liter vegetable broth
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 2 cups of crème fraîche
  • Herbs (parsley, chives, dill), finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the basmati rice according to the package instructions, draining if necessary. Wash, trim, and finely chop the broccoli, then sauté briefly in hot butter. Add the vegetable stock, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and cook the broccoli for 8-10 minutes. Meanwhile, finely chop the ham. Mix the rice and broccoli loosely with the rice. For the sauce, heat the crème fraîche, stir in herbs to taste, and season with salt and pepper. If you can’t find fresh herbs, you can also use crème fraîche with herbs.
