  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Sugar
  • some olive oil
  • 100 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cook the broccoli in salted water until al dente and drain. For the sauce, finely chop the onion and sauté in a little olive oil. Mix the milk with the flour or shake in a shaker. Then add to the onions and bring to a boil while stirring. Add more milk to taste. Season to taste. Place the broccoli in a dish greased with olive oil, pour the sauce over it, and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes, until the cheese is nicely browned. If you like, you can also add boiled potatoes. Sautéing diced ham with the onions is also delicious. Serve with baguette, focaccia, or even a roast.
