Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g dark chocolate coating
  • 375 g butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 260 g walnuts or pecans, coarsely chopped
  • 500 g dark chocolate coating
  • 250 ml milk
  • 160 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours

Chop the chocolate and melt it with the butter in a bain-marie. Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) (gas mark 2). Line a baking tray with baking paper. Beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy and white. Whisk in the chocolate and butter mixture. Sift in the flour and carefully fold in. Fold in the nuts. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking tray. Bake the cake in the center of the hot oven for about 40 minutes. Carefully loosen the edges with a knife so they don’t stick while cooling. Let cool. For the glaze, finely chop the chocolate and place it in a bowl. Bring the milk and butter to a boil and pour over the chocolate. Stir with a wooden spoon until the chocolate has melted. Pour the mixture over the cake and spread it evenly with a spatula. Let the glaze set for 2-3 hours.
