Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 300 g flour, and some more to flour the surface
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp dry yeast
- 20 g sugar
- 150 ml milk and 1 tbsp milk
- 45 g butter
- 2 eggs
- e.g. sesame, optional
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 35 minutes
Mix the flour with the salt, sugar, and yeast. Melt the butter with the 150 ml milk and add to the flour mixture. Whisk one egg, add it to the flour mixture, mix everything well, and knead on a floured surface into a soft dough. Divide the dough into 4 portions, shape each into a ball, and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Flatten the balls on the sheet (see video), cover, and let rise for about 2 hours. For the glaze, whisk one egg with one tablespoon of milk and gently brush the risen rolls with it. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and bake at 170°C (fan oven) for about 15 minutes.
