Butter-almond cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g almond(s), chopped
  • 70 g chocolate flakes or chocolate drops if required

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

enough for 25 pieces – with or without chocolate

Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the vanilla sugar and then beat in the egg. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt and slowly add to the butter and sugar mixture. Then stir in the almonds and, if desired, the chocolate. Using a teaspoon, place small heaps of the mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, about 8 cm (finger length) apart. Caution: the dough will spread! Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 12-14 minutes. As soon as the edges start to brown, I always remove the cookies from the oven. This ensures that the edges are crispy and the insides are pleasantly soft.
