Sheet cake, approx. 12 pieces

Make a yeast dough from flour, yeast, milk, butter, egg, sugar, and salt and let it rise. Cut the apples into pieces and cook them with the sugar and vanilla sugar in a little water, not too soft. Make a pudding from the vanilla pudding powder, milk, and sugar according to the package instructions and let it cool. Spread half of the dough on a baking sheet. Arrange the apples on top. Then roll out the remaining dough and place it on top of the apples. Use a spoon to make indentations in the top and spread the pudding into them. Sprinkle the surface with butter and sugar. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). In the meantime, cover the cake and let it rise. Then bake it in the oven for a good 20 minutes. Cut the cake into about 12 pieces. It tastes delicious lukewarm or cold.
