Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 1 cube of yeast
- 100 g sugar
- 125 g butter
- ¼ liter of milk
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 125 g butter, cold
- 125 g almonds, sliced
- 250 g icing sugar for the icing
Instructions

Place the flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Crumble the yeast into the well and sprinkle some sugar over the yeast. Sprinkle the remaining sugar and salt over the flour. Pour the lukewarm milk over the yeast. Place the egg at the edge, then, starting in the center, mix the milk with the flour, yeast, and egg using the dough hook of a hand mixer. Gradually add the butter and knead into a smooth dough. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place (preferably under a wool blanket). Let it stand until it has doubled in size (about 20 minutes). Roll out the dough onto a greased baking sheet and let it rise again for at least 15 minutes. Press “holes” into the dough with your fingers and place the cold butter in pieces into the holes. Distribute the almonds over the cake. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes. While the cake is still warm, spread with icing, if desired. Tastes best when still warm.
