Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg carrot(s)
- 75 g butter
- 3 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt

Peel the carrots and thinly slice or grate them. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a saucepan, add the sugar and salt. Add the carrots and toss well. This will release some of the liquid. Reduce the heat and simmer the carrots in their own juices for about 20 minutes with the lid on. This way, the delicious flavor of the carrots is preserved.
