Butter coffee: recipe for the bulletproof coffee
- For the butter coffee, you need simple filter coffee as a basis. Add a generous teaspoon of butter and a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil.
- Then stir the mixture with a spoon. The ingredients mix much better with a hand blender.
- That’s all it takes for a butter coffee. Milk and sugar, on the other hand, have no place in butter coffee.
- Note: Vegans can also substitute coconut oil for butter entirely.
Butter coffee: effects and benefits
- First and foremost, butter coffee provides a lot of energy through butter and oil. Coconut oil in particular can be converted by the body directly and without major detours.
- This quickly creates a saturation effect. At best, the butter coffee replaces breakfast. If the butter coffee doesn’t work quite as desired, it delays the feeling of hunger at least for a few hours.
- The butter coffee contains no carbohydrates, but you should still factor in the extra calories in your daily allowance. The medium-chain triglycerides in coconut oil are also said to help with weight loss.
