Butter cookies in the snow

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g butter or margarine
  • 125 g powdered sugar (1/2 pack)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 800 g flour
  • 1 packet of powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Combine the butter or margarine with half the packet of powdered sugar and the baking powder. Gradually add the flour until the dough no longer sticks to your fingers. Shape the dough into a log in portions and cut into 1 cm thick slices to create round cookies. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) with fan assisted oven for 15 minutes. Pour the packet of powdered sugar into a bowl. Roll the hot cookies in the powdered sugar and place them on a kitchen towel to cool.
