Buttermilk bread for the bread maker

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 300 g wheat flour, type 550
  • 200 g rye flour, type 1150
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 7 g dry yeast (1 sachet)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 10 minutes

quick and easy, vinegar is used instead of sourdough

First, add buttermilk and vinegar to the baking pan, followed by flour, salt, and dried yeast. Select the “normal” program on your bread maker, or a program that takes about three hours to prepare. The vinegar will leaven the bread slightly, giving it a taste similar to sourdough.
