Buttermilk cake for one tray

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g margarine
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 4 cups flour
  • 50 g cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 125 g butter
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice
  • Sugar sprinkles, colorful
  • Grease for the tray

This cake always turns out well, is quick to prepare and is popular with both young and old

For the cake, beat the margarine, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Mix in the eggs and buttermilk. Combine the flour, baking soda, and cocoa, sift, and mix with a mixer. Spread the mixture on a greased baking sheet and bake at 220 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. For the icing, melt the butter in a saucepan, mix with the powdered sugar and lemon juice, and brush onto the still-warm cake. Then sprinkle the colorful sugar sprinkles on top. If you don’t like it so colorful, you can of course omit the sprinkles.
