Cabbage pan à la Joe

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 small head of pointed cabbage or other cabbage
  • 250 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp, sautéed cumin
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 shot of white wine (Riesling)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp, heaped vegetable broth, instant
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Fry in a pan with oil, season with salt and pepper, and deglaze with a dash of Riesling. Add a small cup of water with the vegetable stock. Quarter the pointed cabbage, cut into strips, and add it along with the cumin. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Serve with fresh mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, or fresh farmhouse bread.
