Cabbage slices wrapped in bacon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 small head of white cabbage
  • 500 g bacon, sliced
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • 1 tbsp, heaped garlic powder
  • 30 ml olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the cabbage into 2 cm thick slices. Always cut toward the stalk, otherwise the cabbage will fall apart. Arrange the slices on the baking sheet. Finely chop the parsley, mix with the oil and garlic, and spread over the cabbage slices. Lay the bacon slices crosswise over the cabbage slices and then fold them down. Cook the cabbage slices in the oven until the desired browning is achieved. This takes about 40 minutes.
