Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 12 limes
- 2 honeydew melons
- 400 ml Pitu (Aguardente de Cana)
- 500 g brown sugar
- 2 bottles of sparkling wine, dry
- 2 bottles of mineral water
- Crushed ice
- mint
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes
Wash the limes and cut each into at least 8 pieces. Cut the melons into bite-sized pieces. Mix the pitu and sugar in a large punch bowl, then add the sparkling wine and water. Add the fruit and ice, chill, and let it steep for a while. Season with mint, if desired.
