Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of toast
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 slice(s) cheese
  • 1 slice(s) ham
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 4 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 9 minutes

Lightly toast the slices of bread in the toaster. Meanwhile, beat an egg with salt and pepper in a shallow bowl. Top the toast with ham and cheese. If you like, spread the toast with butter or cream cheese. Cover with the second slice of bread. Dip the toasted sandwich in the prepared egg on both sides. Heat the butter in a pan on the stovetop. Add the egg-soaked sandwich to the pan and fry until browned on both sides.
