Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 250 g sugar
- 450 g walnuts
- 1 liter oil, for frying

Snack for the dragon menu
Dissolve the sugar in 100 ml of water, heat, and simmer for 2 minutes. Briefly blanch the walnuts in boiling water, then stir into the syrup and let cool for 5 minutes, then drain. Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan. Add the walnuts in batches and stir until evenly browned. Remove with a slotted spoon and spread out on a piece of aluminum foil, ensuring they are not touching. CAUTION! The nuts are very hot. Pat dry with kitchen paper after cooling. Serve as a snack.
