Ingredients for 60 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 lemon(s), peel
  • 100 g almonds, chopped
  • 75 g almonds, whole

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Tuscan almond pastries

Knead all ingredients, except the whole almonds, until combined. Finally, stir in the whole almonds. Shape the dough into rolls about 3-4 cm in diameter, wrap in foil, and chill for 30 minutes. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes at 175°C (160°C fan-assisted oven). Remove from the oven and cut into diagonal, not too thick slices. Return to the baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
