But you can also take advantage of these properties in the form of tea. A few caraway seeds are ground, poured with water, and left to infuse for 10 minutes.
  • Cumin also has a blood circulation-promoting effect. For this purpose, caraway oil is applied externally by rubbing it in. It can also provide relief from headaches. In that case, make a wet poultice with hot water and crushed cumin seeds.
  • Caraway has other positive effects on memory and mental functions. This is due to its high content of vitamins B2, B3, and B6 as well as various minerals. Its high iron content can help against anemia, for example.
  • Young mothers can also benefit from caraway tea because it stimulates the production of breast milk.

What are the side effects of cumin?

As healthy as the herb is, don’t ingest cumin uncontrollably. There are a few small things to note.

  • Cumin is high concentrations and should not be consumed over a long period of time. This can lead to skin irritation and allergies.
  • In addition, the essential oils should not be inhaled as this can trigger asthma attacks. As an asthmatic, you should therefore be careful at this point. But it can also be dangerous for babies and small children. If in doubt, consult your doctor first.
